Decision To Nominate Wan Azizah For MB Post Final - Anwar
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 28 (Bernama) -- Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said Thursday the decision to name his wife, PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, as the only nominee for the post of Selangor menteri besar to replace Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim was final.
Anwar said he wanted all quarters, including PAS, to accept the decision that was made at the Pakatan Rakyat Presidential Council on Aug 17.
"I will appeal to them (PAS) to accept the Aug 17 decision of the council as final and ensure that the cooperation among the Pakatan component parties is upheld," he said when approached after attending a court proceeding at the Courts Complex in Jalan Duta, Kuala Lumpur.
The opposition leader acknowledged that the issue of the Selangor menteri besar had shaken the integrity of the opposition pact but he was convinced that it would do no harm if everyone respected and complied with the decision of the presidential council.
Anwar said that the decision to nominate his wife to replace Abdul Khalid was made after legal consultation.

Let me try and simplfy things. The problem is simply this. Anwar Ibrahim wants his wife to replace Khalid Ibrahim as MB.
There are people who agree with him and those who do not.
Everything else is sandiwara.
In the final analysis you have to ask yourself if the Sultan of Selangor...with all his baggage...can impose his will upon Anwar Ibrahim.
Historically Anwar Ibrahim will do what he wants to do - whether what he wants to do is reckless, irresponsible, self serving ......damm the consequences.
Let us not blame PKR or DAP for the problems in Selangor.....blame individuals who are leaders in their parties - in this instance Anwar Ibrahim and Lim Kit Siang.
