Monday 6 February 2017

Terkini: As of this morning : Monday 6th February : The Jet Global 5000 N689WM is no longer on the tarmac at Seletar Airport, Singapore.

Thursday 2nd February I posted this article JET GLOBAL 5000 N689WM HAS BEEN IN A HANGER IN SINGAPORE SELETAR AIRPORT WITH A RED NOTICE PASTED ON IT'S DOOR FOR THE PAST TWO WEEKS AND COUNTING.

Here is the latest :

Since the middle of January the plane has been under the care of, and was being being serviced by, Jet Aviation (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of General Dynamics, an American Company.

My sources tells me that there are three possibilities as to the present location of the Jet:

Because the Jet Global 5000 N689WM has generated too much publicity, it has probably been flown to Paya Lebar Air Force Airport which is primarily being used by the Singapore Air Force (and at times by commercial cargo planes). There the Jet could easily be hidden from prying eyes.

Or the Jet could even have been flown to Changi - a huge airport where keeping the Jet under wraps in a hanger would also not be a problem

The other probability is that the United States Department of Justice have have had the plane serviced by Jet Aviation(Asia Pacific)Pte Ltd - a subsidiary of General Dynamic (an American Compay) and might  have flown the Jet back to the United States where the plane is of interest to the DOJ in their 1MDB case.

All in all, the Jet has been at Seletar Airport since the middle of January.

I will keep you guys informed of any further development as they occur.

Rendering of new Jet Aviation hangar at Seletar.
When completed by the end of 2017, Jet Aviation's new hangar at Singapore's Seletar Aerospace Park will bring the facility's aircraft storage capacity to more-than 125,000 sq ft.
Jet Aviation has broken ground on a new expansion project at its Seletar Aerospace Park location in Singapore. The new build will include 41,441 sq ft/3,850 sq m of hangar space and an additional 4,100 sq ft/380 sq m of shop facilities. This third hangar at the combined MRO/FBO location will be capable of simultaneously accommodating a pair bizliners or up to five Gulfstream G550s.
The new structure being built by Airport Support Industries will be adjacent to the current Jet Aviation facility, which, once the new hangar is complete by the end of 2017, will offer a total of 125,400 sq ft/11,650 sq m of hangar space. The General Dynamics subsidiary last added to its hangar capacity at the location in 2014.
“As with our second hangar at [Singapore Seletar], we are building this third hangar to meet the growing demand in the region for business aviation services, particularly for large, long-range business jets,” said Stefan Benz, senior vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation’s MRO and FBO operations in EMEA & Asia. “The new hangar will significantly boost the capacity of our maintenance, FBO and parking operations.”
